Chisago House Restaurant

I had the soup and salad bar. It seemed decently fresh, but pretty generic. It took 30 minutes after ordering to get 2 hot dogs and 2 burgers for my kids. That was very frustrating for this single dad. The food was average overall. The meal was over $50. They charged $4 for onion rings with my daughter's burger, $3 for a tiny dish of steamed broccoli for my toddler, and an extra $1 for pepper jack on a burger. We won't go back. Too many other options in the area

We waited FIFTY minutes for breakfast food and a sandwich. There were only sixteen people in the restaurant, with mostly empty tables. We ordered an appetizer that didn't come until our order came. It took 15 minutes just to get water. When the food finally came, it wasn't good. The portions were small and the food was overcooked. Almost all of the chairs had the legs poking through the seats. The table appeared to have been washed, but our napkins were stuck to it when we tried to get to our silverware. I would recommend avoiding this place. We would never try it again.

Would not recommend at all. This place used to be great when I was younger and visited Taylor’s falls but clearly is not the same.One of the people at my table ordered a BLT that is supposed to have mayo but instead had a house dressing on it which was not close to mayo and did not taste good. Not to mention that the sandwich was absolutely overloaded with it. When we asked the waitress, she said “well all BLTs come with mayo!” Sure, but it wasn’t mayo?? They refused to give us our money back. Then we requested to talk to the owner and the waitress came back and said that the owner was “too busy” to speak with us and said she would take off the sandwich, but still made us pay for the hash browns that she ate. This goes to show how truly awful this place is being run now and they do not know how to keep customers happy. Additionally, the person that had a few bites of the BLT got sick with what seemed like food poisoning. Overall a horrible experience and we will not be going back.
